This unit connects the skills students gain through conducting science experiments and learning about scientific ways of working with career pathways that require these skills. Being able to analyse data, follow procedures, and understand ethical issues is useful in a range of careers, from the aviation industry to academic research and it also plays a role in the intelligence community.
Scientific ways of working are also spreading into other fields, for example software developers use the Scrum model to iterate and test software. The videos, booklets, and activities can be used as a warm-up unit, or separated and spread throughout the module.
